The brothers who run this place and their staff are incredibly kind. For me personally, if it were possible to eat a breakfast sandwich for every meal of the day, I would. What these folks create are hands down the most creative and delicious egg sandwiches I've had the pleasure of eating in my 40 years, be that from fine dining restaurants or sloppy but delicious diner food (and with the added bonus of being heartier than something that actually has meat in it). Thanks Cafe Hot for bringing something unique and special to Burlington, and I'm sure anyone who's eaten at your establishment agrees: We wish you the best of luck and the absolute utmost happiness wherever you all go from here!

Outstanding breakfast spot. It’s no-frills counter service, with decor that stands out for the skulls and the blood. Every item we ordered was a hit, with my personal favorite being the number 9 hot honey chiken fried biscuit. I had no idea when I came in that it’s a vegetarian spot, but I was very impressed. (As a note, the chiken fried egg is egg that’s deep fried like fried chicken. It was delicious and has no meat!)

The food was absolutely delicious and same with the coffee! We also tried a maple donut and it was superb. If you’re in the area this is a MUST!

We were suggested to go here and get the 'Special Number Eight' by the people at 'Rouge Rabbit'. It did not disappoint. I got the special number eight with avocado and hot sauce. My son got the special number nine. We each got a BoOoOoOoughnut. Dear God. I love the classic horror theme. I love the Star Trek and comic book postings. Like, these people are right up my alley. Super polite and fun people work there. If my son gets accepted to Champlain, I'm bringing the whole family next year and I'm going to get their coffee. Sorry I had coffee from somewhere else. You can't blame me. You don't open until 10:00.

This place is wonderful! I think fully vegetarian as they serve eggs, cheese, dairy based things but they have solid vegan options. The vegan raven was delicious! Bonuts are my new obsession too

This breakfast sandwich turned my whole day around. Absolutely incredible, maybe the best I’ve ever had. Flavorful, high quality, fresh baked, pillowy bun. They made a perfect flat white, too. And bonus points for being all vegetarian. On the expensive side but worth it. Don’t skip if in Burlington!

This was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The biscuit was so crumbly and crispy without falling apart and the egg was just delicious. The apple cider bonut was also amazing!

The food here is so indescribably good that this is the only time I've ever felt compelled leave an online review. I ordered the Number 9 with an iced coffee and the biscuit was so perfect and flaky and the chicken-fried egg was so crunchy and delicate and well-seasoned that I gave the chef a $20 bill for making my life objectively better. Please eat here.

The chicken fried egg sandwich the final boss of breakfast sandwiches - so good! The Nashville hot sandwich is on par with Hattie B’s in Tennessee. A little pricey but totally worth it. The donuts are also super unique and tasty. Our first stop in Burlington every time!
